TF Handy Wash, the 24/7 Laundromat for the Hagerman Valley

Hagerman does not have a laundromat. That is the honest starting point, and so is this: Wendell has one that runs around the clock and it is about thirteen miles from you, where we are thirty five. If a normal load is the problem, go there. If the load is bigger than that, or you are already heading down the canyon, keep reading.

What Hagerman actually has, and what it does not

The valley runs on fish farms, hot springs, the fossil beds and a lot of visitors, and none of that comes with a laundromat in town. The nearest around the clock option is up in Wendell, and for two loads of everyday clothes that is the sensible trip. Where it stops working is volume: a small town laundry runs small drums, and a wet tent, four sleeping bags and a week of work clothes do not fit in them.

TF Handy Wash runs Speed Queen machines from 20 lb up to 70 lb at 664 Shoup Ave W, open every hour of every day of the year. Pay with quarters from the on site change machine, a card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, or the Speed Queen app under Location Code HANDYW. There is no card surcharge here.

Getting here from Hagerman

Two roads, and they take about the same time. The fast one is up to I-84 and east to the Twin Falls exit, then south on US-93 into town, which Google clocks at 35.1 miles and roughly 42 minutes. The pretty one is US-30 southeast along the Thousand Springs byway through Buhl and Filer, which is 35.3 miles and about 44 minutes and is the better drive if you are not in a hurry.

Either way you end up on Addison Avenue. Turn south at Washington Street for a block, then west onto Shoup Avenue. We are at 664 on the south side, between Washington and Locust, with free parking right in front of the door.

Who actually drives down from the valley

Mostly people with a load that will not fit anywhere closer. Aquaculture and farm work clothes that need a real drum rather than a home machine, bedding for a rental or a guest house after a busy weekend, or camping and river gear that came back soaked and sandy from Thousand Springs. One 70 lb cycle handles what would be four or five loads elsewhere.

The rest are people already in Twin Falls for the day. If you are down for groceries, an appointment or a game, putting a load in while you do the rest of it costs you no extra trip. We are open whenever you turn up, holidays included.
