Locally owned and independent. Open since 2023.
TF Handy Wash opened in 2023 in Twin Falls, Idaho with a single goal: a clean, safe, modern self-service laundromat that’s open whenever you need it. The doors are unlocked 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year — including holidays.
Since we opened, thousands of customers have come through our doors — local families, travelers passing through Twin Falls, RV campers, Airbnb hosts, and small businesses across the Magic Valley.
Every machine is brand-new Speed Queen commercial equipment, the same gear used by hotels and hospitals. Capacities run from 20 lb up to 70 lb, so a king-size comforter or a full week of family laundry fits in a single load.
We have a sister property — Jerome Handy Wash — and serve the entire Magic Valley across 12 communities. The site, the signage, and the on-site experience are fully bilingual (English / Español), and the facility meets WCAG 2.2 Level AA accessibility standards.

How much do the dryers cost?
All dryers cost $0.25 per cycle. Cycle times vary by size: Small dryers run 5 minutes per cycle, Large dryers run 4 minutes per cycle, and Giant dryers run 3 minutes per cycle. You add as many cycles as needed to fully dry your load.
What is the cheapest way to do laundry here?
Our small washers start at just $2.75. For the best value per pound, consider consolidating into fewer larger loads. A large washer at $6.50 for 55 lbs works out to about $0.12 per pound.
How much should I budget for a typical visit?

No hidden fees at all. The prices listed are exactly what you pay. Washers are a flat rate per cycle and dryers are $0.25 per cycle. What you see is what you get.
What brand of machines do you use?
We exclusively use Speed Queen commercial washers and dryers. Speed Queen is the industry leader in commercial laundry equipment, known for superior cleaning performance, durability, and efficiency.
What sizes of washers are available?
We offer four washer sizes: Small (2-load, 20 lb capacity), Medium (4-load, 40 lb capacity), Large (6-load, 55 lb capacity), and XL (7-load, 70 lb capacity). Choose the size that best fits your laundry needs.
What sizes of dryers are available?
We have three dryer sizes: Small (5 minutes per $0.25 cycle), Large (4 minutes per $0.25 cycle), and Giant (3 minutes per $0.25 cycle). Larger dryers produce more heat and dry faster per cycle.
Can I wash comforters and blankets?
Absolutely! Our large (55 lb) and XL (70 lb) washers are perfect for comforters, blankets, sleeping bags, and other bulky items. These machines are much larger than home washers and provide excellent cleaning results.
How long does a wash cycle take?

Is there parking available?
Yes, TF Handy Wash has free parking right in front of the laundromat on Shoup Ave. Pull up close to the door for easy loading and unloading.
Are there folding tables available?
Yes, TF Handy Wash has large, clean folding tables throughout the facility so you can comfortably fold your laundry before heading home.
Is the facility handicap accessible?
Yes, TF Handy Wash is fully ADA accessible. Our facility has wide aisles, accessible entrances, and machines at comfortable heights for wheelchair users.
Do you have vending machines?
TF Handy Wash does not currently have drink or candy vending machines due to space constraints. However, our sister location Jerome Handy Wash does offer drink and candy vending. We do have soap dispensers and a change machine on-site.
Can I buy laundry detergent at the facility?
Yes, we have soap dispensers and vending options for laundry detergent, fabric softener, and dryer sheets. No need to bring your own if you forget.
Is the laundromat safe at night?
Safety is a top priority. Our facility is well-lit inside and out, equipped with security cameras throughout, and located in a visible area on Shoup Ave. We strive to make our customers feel safe and comfortable at any hour.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept coins, the Speed Queen mobile app, credit/debit cards, and Apple Pay/Google Pay for convenient contactless payment. You have multiple options to pay however is most convenient for you.
What is the Speed Queen app and how do I use it?
The Speed Queen app is a free mobile app available for iOS and Android. Download it, create an account, add a payment method, and enter Location Code HANDYW to connect to TF Handy Wash. You can start and pay for machines directly from your phone, monitor cycles, and receive notifications when your laundry is done.
Is there a change machine on-site?
Yes, we have a change machine on-site that accepts bills and provides quarters. However, we recommend trying the Speed Queen app for the most convenient payment experience.
Do I need to bring my own coins?
Not necessarily! While coins work, you can also pay using the Speed Queen app or credit/debit cards. If you prefer coins, our change machine can convert your bills to quarters.
Can I get a refund if a machine malfunctions?
Yes, if a machine malfunctions during your cycle, please contact us at (208) 731-5745 or email help@tfhandywash.com. We will work to make it right, whether that means a refund or credit for your next visit.
How much detergent should I use?
Less is more! For our commercial machines, use about half of what you would at home. Too much detergent creates excess suds that can leave residue on clothes. Follow the detergent label guidelines for load size.
Should I sort my laundry before coming?
Sorting at home saves time at the laundromat. We recommend separating whites, darks, and colors. Also separate delicates from heavy items like jeans and towels for best results.
What is the best time to come to avoid crowds?
Since we are open 24/7, early mornings (before 9 AM) and late evenings (after 8 PM) tend to be the least busy times. Weekday mornings are typically the quietest. Weekends can be busier, especially Saturday mornings.
Can I leave my laundry unattended?
While we have security cameras, we recommend staying near the facility during your cycle. The Speed Queen app can alert you when your cycle is done so you can step out briefly and come back at the right time.
How do I wash large items like sleeping bags?
Use our Large or XL washers for sleeping bags, comforters, and other bulky items. Make sure the item has enough room to move freely in the drum. Use a gentle cycle if available and low to medium heat in the dryer.
Any tips for getting clothes dry faster?
Do not overload the dryer — clothes need room to tumble. Shake out items before putting them in the dryer. Dry similar weight fabrics together. Consider using a larger dryer for better airflow.
What areas do you serve?
We serve the entire Magic Valley including Twin Falls, Kimberly, Filer, Buhl, Hansen, Jerome, Murtaugh, Wendell, Gooding, Shoshone, Hagerman, and Burley. Between our Twin Falls and Jerome locations, we cover the whole region.
Do I need to bring my own detergent?
You can bring your own detergent if you have a preferred brand, but you don’t have to. TF Handy Wash has on-site vending machines that sell single-use detergent, fabric softener, and dryer sheets, so you can grab what you need at the start of your visit. Some customers also pick up supplies from nearby stores in advance.
How long does a typical visit take?
Most customers finish in about an hour. A regular wash cycle runs 30–35 minutes (40–45 for heavy-duty), and most dryer loads take another 20–40 minutes. If you run multiple machines at once — common for families or travelers with multiple loads — a full week of laundry can finish in roughly the same hour. The Speed Queen app monitors cycles from your phone.
Do you offer wash-and-fold or drop-off service?
TF Handy Wash is a self-service laundromat — there is no wash-and-fold or drop-off service at this location. Customers load, wash, dry, and fold their own laundry. The trade-off is that you save money by handling it yourself, and the Speed Queen commercial machines finish faster than home washers. For commercial volume, contact us directly to discuss options.
Can I bring my children to the laundromat?
Yes, families are welcome at TF Handy Wash. The facility has comfortable seating, free WiFi, and a laptop workspace, which families often use to keep kids occupied during cycles. Children should be supervised at all times around the commercial Speed Queen equipment. There is no separate kids’ area, so plan with snacks, books, or devices to keep them comfortable through the visit.
